Hello, everyone. I’m glad to have the chance to stand here and give my speech to you all.
The title of my talk is the impression of BUAA.
When I got the EMS which said I had been admitted to BUAA and the college of software, I didn’t feel very happy, because BUAA is not where I really want to go and so is the college of software. But after spending the first month here, I get rid of my former view. Now, please allow me to tell you something about my impression of BUAA.
The first time I paid a visit to this campus, I was totally astonished. In my mind, it’s very huge when compared with my senior school. Though I have visited the Peking University and the Tsinghua University before, I don’t change the idea. Because I think the two is beautiful mostly for its natural scenery and classical ones while our school has lots of splendid modern buildings such as our dormitory , the main building and the new center buildings. Besides, we also have a nice place called green park where is suitable for reading English and making dates. From my point of view, all this is enough or we would waste more time walking on the road.
Besides the surroundings, I’m also impressed by the students here. All of them are excellent; everyone seems to be common is likely to have a brilliant past. Moreover, their achievements are based on their diligence more than their brightness. Another thing cannot be neglected is that the students in grade 2 or 3 are all warmhearted, when we are faced with problems, whether in study or in daily lives, they always tend to be patient and helpful. So from here we can not only learn new knowledge but also master many things which will benefit all our lives.
Last but not least, during the past month I have made a lot of friends. It’s marvelous to have friends from all over the country, especially when we are part with parents, living outside. Considering the following four years we will live together, I’m sure we will meet more friends, build more friendships.
The impressions above are not all I have sensed. For my poor English I cannot express all of them clearly. But I must show the last sentence I am not regret to be here!
